Hello Again Monarch Adopters!
In this email, we’ll be providing you with some helpful resources to guide you through the Adopt A Monarch experience in a fun and educational way.
Adopt A Monarch Tracking Dashboard
Visit our website’s homepage at AdoptAMonarch.org to access the NEW Adopt A Monarch Tracking Dashboard. This dashboard will make following your monarch fun and easy and includes everything you need to track your butterfly all in one place! App Tutorial, Butterfly Departures, Recent Updates, and FAQ’s
App Tutorial
This brief tutorial will help you navigate the Project Monarch App and its features including how to search for and track your monarch on the app once it goes “live”. NOTE: If you previously installed the Project Monarch App, please be aware there has been a recent update as of Sept. 2026. If you are now having difficulty accessing the app, try logging in through Google.
Butterfly Departures
The Butterfly Departures terminal contains information related to your butterfly’s release location and tentative deploy date (updated daily as new information comes in). When a butterfly is released its information will change to blue on the table. You can find your monarch’s unique WR ID/Tracking number by searching the left-hand column of the page, or searching by butterfly name or donor column. Each column in the chart is clickable to sort alphabetically. IMPT: This ID will be necessary to locate your butterfly on the Project Monarch App. Please be aware your monarch will not show up on the app until it has been released.
Recent Updates
This section includes an archive of past emails (in case you missed one!) and other monarch conservation related information.
